Levitation was founded back in 1993 by Chris Gilcher aka Cris Moreno, Ingmar Hänsch aka Ingmarlo and Marcell Meyer aka DJ Sweep. The project is nowadays under the patronage of Movin’ Sounds Ibiza, whereas the upcoming “Essential Levitation” album will be released by Whirlpool Records in February 2012. Levitation is mostly known for their songs Out Of Time and More Than Ever People featuring vocalist Cathy Battistessa.
Both songs have been regularly used in TV commercials and documentaries. On this page both the music that evolved out of cooperations with internationally acclaimed singers are featured and Out Of Time, Levitation’s early instrumental piece. It was licensed for the worldwide D2 to Vodafone campaign and is the soundlogo of a german TV station since more than a decade.

Cathy Battistessa
Following outstanding success over the last 10 years, Cathy Battistessa has been recognised internationally as ‘The Voice of Cafe del Mar’ although she is clearly much more than that, writing and performing legendary chill-out songs such as More Than Ever People, Oh Home, Shine, Speck Of Gold and Riva. More Than Ever People is best known for its appearance on the all time classic lounge compilation Cafe del Mar Volumen Cinco.

Mocci Ryen
Singer songwriter Mocci Ryen has become quite a Chameleon in Norwegian music industry. From songwriting tuition with Sir Paul McCartney to jamming with Patti Labelle during the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Concert and lately international musical collaborations with renowned artists from Pakistan and South Africa – Mocci’s career has taken her all over the map. This has served as inspiration to her many musical projects – a crossover between soul, jazz, electronica and world music.

Caro Barth
Caro Barth has played an active role in the initiation and involvment of many music- and showprojects all over Europe. She was responsible for choreography, singing, actor training and was consigned to direct Musical-productions artistically in her function of the stage director. Taking the part of a singer, she performs in a live setting with band, as well as in the studio environment for various projects.
